GAINESVILLE--The NAVC Presidency baton has been officially passed to Laurel Kaddatz, DVM, a private practitioner in Pound Ridge, New York. Dr. Kaddatz, who was steeped in a love of animals from his childhood on a small dairy farm in Minnesota, is now hospital manager and co-owner of the Pound Ridge Veterinary Center located in Westchester County, New York. His practice philosophy is client- and patient-centered, an approach that he plans to transfer to his role of guiding the development of the NAVC in the coming year.

GAINESVILLE--If you want some encouraging signs of present day and what's to come, the NAVC Conference 2011, January 15-19, is a great indicator. By all accounts, this year's conference surpassed expectations and indicates the continuing thirst for knowledge and expertise among veterinary practitioners around the world and their determination to grow professionally. At a time when coffers are closely monitored, paid attendance at the NAVC Conference 2011 hit a 3-year high, with a 1.5% increase over that of 2010.

GAINESVILLE--The NAVC and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) are pleased to announce joining forces in their mutual efforts to bring the best in education to veterinary technicians.
 
The new partnership aims to enhance this vital group of professionals--and veterinary medicine as a whole. Beginning in 2011, the scientific meeting of NAVTA will be offered at the NAVC Conference.
