Age-appropriate toys, games, and activities including arts and crafts and slides, tunnels, and other safe playground activity equipment are offered in a festive, dedicated setting in a party theme such as Wild Safari Adventures or Wonderful World of Make-Believe. NAVC Behind the Scenes Tours of Disney Animal Kingdom and the Manatee Adventure are once-in-a-lifetime experiences for the entire family. These tours combine the attractions open to the general public with glimpses of the inner workings of the park as well as veterinary care and husbandry of animals and close animal encounters. While children 10 years or older are welcome to the Animal Kingdom tour, they will not be admitted to the behind-the-scenes portions. But NAVC offers children an experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom all their own--the Conservation Day Camp, Sunday, January 16 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. This engaging program for children ages 6 through 13 is designed to inspire children by exposing them to current animal, habitat, and conservation issues in a fun, interactive environment. Among the activities planned are park attractions, indoor classroom activities, animal encounters, and shows.
