Dr. Colin F. Burrows is Chair of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences and Chief of Staff of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine where he is also a Professor of Medicine and specializes in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Burrows graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1969, and in 1970 joined the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. While at the University of Pennsylvania Dr. Burrows became board certified in internal medicine and in 1980 earned a PhD in gastrointestinal physiology. Dr. Burrows is a past-President of the Comparative Gastroenterology Society and the Eastern States Veterinary Association. Dr. Burrows was a member of the original organizing committee of the Eastern States Veterinary Conference, and served as Program Coordinator from 1985 until 2002 when he was named Executive Director.
