Dr. David F. Senior is Professor of Veterinary Medicine and Head of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Senior received his BVSc. from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1969 before joining a large animal practice in Alberta, Canada for 4 years. He then undertook residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and served on the faculty of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine for 13 years. Dr. Senior is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Small Animal Internal Medicine and Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Companion Animal. His research interest is in diseases of the urinary tract. Dr. Senior is a past-President of the Eastern States Veterinary Association (1994) and has served as the Conference Coordinator of the NAVC for over 10 years. In this position, he coordinates the hands-on laboratories, the audiovisual contracts and quality control on the conference floor.
